Our readings for the Eucharist during this Spring Aspirants’ Retreat were Exodus 19:3-8, Psalm 15, 1 Peter 4:7-11, and Matthew 16:24-27. We explore our calling based on our baptismal vows. that those of us who share the call to ordination are called to a visible vulnerability through which others can experience the sacred, and that ordination makes one not a model of perfection but a sacrament reminding all of us of our common baptism and our baptismal vows that are to be lived out together.
