Our readings today at St. Paul’s in Lewiston, NY, and St. Andrew’s in Burt, NY, are Baruch 5:1-9, The Song of Zechariah, Philippians 1:3-11, and Luke 3:1-6 in which we hear that the Word of God came to John, a nobody in the desert, and we explore how John’s proclamation of a baptism of repentance is an invitation from a God who is crazy about us.
